Stone's Throw is proud to serve as an official dealer for a limited supply of Ruth Lines Prints. After these are sold there will be no more available.
Ruth Lines contributed a tremendous amount of support for many of the art organizations we have in place today. As one of the founding members of the then Lapeer Fine Arts Council (now the Lapeer Art Association) she also chaired the historic event of the arrival of Art Train in the early 70’s. ( a traveling art museum and working artist studio which arrived in Lapeer as one of its inaugural stops with the help of First Lady of Michigan Helen Milliken.) Said Stroh. Ruth’s work can still be seen on display in many Michigan’s municipal buildings and businesses as permanent collections such as Choice One Bank (Lapeer County Bank and Trust), the Saginaw Art Museum, the Port Huron Museum of Art and History, the Lapeer, Beaufort and Brandon Libraries, Hurley Hospital and the Michigan Art Educators Art Collection to mention a few.
Ruth was also a celebrated artist with many one woman shows throughout the state of Michigan and South Carolina where she and her husband Larry had a second home.
