Summer Musical Theater Camp

Join us for a three week summer camp where you do nothing but sing, dance, act and have a great time!

This camp is intended for students grades 7-12 and of all skill sets to learn the skills to launch a fully produced musical at the end of three weeks.

We are thrilled to have a remarkable creative team for this summer which includes:

Lydia Stewart Scheps as Production Director

Frank Pitts as Music Director

Hanna Machado as Choreography

The camp will also include camp counselors from the School of Music, Theatre and Dance of Oakland University.

Weeks 1 and 2 will be held at Lapeer High School Choir Room where the campers will focus on music, lines, choreography and all of the team building tools to launch a full musical.

Week 3 will be held at Lapeer High School where the final perfromances will take place.  This is the week were all the pieces come together and the magic happens!

Lunch will be provided for all campers each day by Brian's Family Restaurant, E.G. Nick's and Vinyl Bar and Grill.

This is a tuition based camp and campers are required to attend all days.  Tuition for the three week camp is $250.00 and must be paid in full at the first day of camp.  Scholarships are available for students who need support.  These are provided on a first come first served basis and have been generously provided by the Lapeer Kiwanis and Optimist.

Early Registration Price:  $200.00 February 1 to March 1, 2024

Regular Registration Price:  $250.00 March 1 to July 10, 2024

There are no auditions for this camp as all skill levels are accepted.  Casting will be done in the first few days of camp based on the students who have registered.

Saturday, July 27 Final Performances School House Rock Live JR

       Camper Call time 12 Noon

       Performance TIme:  2 PM
